In the Veneto countryside, in the midst of green vineyards, a house equipped with innovative techniques and materials was built.
The house is built exclusively with natural and sustainable raw materials so as to be fully recyclable and reusable when the building’s use comes to an end. It is also characterized by a high energy performance - the walls of the perimeter have a transmittance equal to 0.15 W / m2K, and a quality of living and comfort exceeding all expectations due to the absolute lack of polluting and toxic indoor elements.
The scents that are present inside are the smells present in nature and derived from the earth, grass and natural stone.
For the interior plasters and coatings, some Terracruda wall systems have been selected and tested with clay-based plasters and smoothing compounds.
The continuous clay surfaces add to the comfort of the interiors, and their thermo-hygrometric properties combined with of natural tones satisfy the aesthetic and personalization requirements of the spaces.
Details of the intervention
The building is located in a countryside setting, within a vineyard. The building envelope was made with lime-hemp bricks and a bearing structure in laminated wood.
The investigations carried out were concerned with the analysis of the compatibility of the Terracruda system with existing substrates, the adhesion tests of the plasters on the walls, and the diagnostic activity to verify the presence of soluble salts in the walls.
Terracruda wall systems, single-layer plaster and finishing plasters in different colours.
